In just fourteen square miles of Villa El Salvador, nearly half a million people live, work, and raise their families. The spiritual need in a community this dense is immense. Pastors and leaders from across Lima are gathering there with a shared desire to handle God’s Word faithfully with greater clarity and confidence. The goal is not simply a stronger sermon next Sunday, but stronger shepherds who can feed Christ’s flock and, by God’s grace, multiply that training far beyond their own congregations.
In a community this large, the impact of even a few well-trained pastors can extend far beyond a single congregation. As these leaders study together, they are not only growing in confidence and clarity, they are also preparing to invest in others. The hope is that from this very group, new trainers will emerge who can carry the same faithful approach to handling the Word into other neighborhoods of Lima and, in time, across Peru.
