Thousands of pastors shepherd their congregations while serving with limited training and few resources. Bivocational pastors, immigrant and diaspora pastors, and church planters often carry enormous ministry responsibility while navigating financial pressures and demanding schedules. For many of these pastors, access to ongoing expositional training is limited or entirely unavailable. Through WordPartners, I have the privilege of helping to meet this need.
My primary focus with WordPartners is leading expositional workshops in Asia, a context I have a heart for having grown up in Japan and spent my High School years in the Philippines as a missionary kid. My work in Asia includes setting up and leading four-year workshops whose goal is not only to train local pastors in Christ-Centered Expositional preaching through all genres of Scriptures but to also equip pastors to lead future WordPartner workshops on their own in their local context.
