Micro-Workshops

Sharpen your church’s Bible study and teaching as you dig into God’s Word together.

What Is a Micro-Workshop?

WordPartners’ micro-workshops are intended to sharpen the Bible study and expositional skills of believers who want to study and teach God’s life-giving Word faithfully. Over the course of about four to six hours, you will work with others through a book of the Bible, usually Ruth or Titus. You and your church will have the opportunity to learn and practice accessible, transferable Bible study principles that have helped thousands of pastors and ministry leaders around the world.

The primary aim of the workshop is personal transformation, as we seek to elevate God’s life-giving Word in your heart, life, and ministry. You will also learn more about WordPartners’ international work: how these principles are equipping pastors and churches in under-resourced, restricted-access, and persecuted contexts; the need to equip indigenous pastors to train other pastors; and how you and your church can partner with us.

Why Micro-Workshops?

Our full workshops run sixteen hours, which is impractical for many church members. Micro-workshops provide a shorter format for local churches to engage with God’s Word together, without the larger time commitment.

What to Expect

A micro-workshop runs four and a half to six hours. We can hold it in a single day, or break it across a Friday evening and Saturday morning. A two-day format usually meets from 6:00 to 8:00 on Friday evening and 8:30 to 12:00 on Saturday morning.

Once we set a date, we create a registration page for your church. Registrants receive a welcome email with optional pre-workshop assignments to help them prepare for our time together.

Hosting a Micro-Workshop

To host, we ask that you provide a space with tables suited to small-group work and a conference-room-sized whiteboard with markers. We also encourage hosts to provide refreshments, and to consider offering childcare, which tends to increase attendance.

Cost and Partnership

We invite host churches to partner with us in covering the cost, and we are glad to talk through what that might look like for your church. Please do not let cost be a barrier. Grants are available for those who need them, so that God’s Word may flow powerfully through every church to every nation. At this time, micro-workshops are available to churches in the United States.

Bearing Fruit in Local Churches

We long to see the Word of God flowing powerfully through every church to every nation.
